The music of the song “Through The Eyes Of Love ”was written by composer, Marvin Hamlisch, with the lyrics written by Carole Bayer Sager. Melissa Manchester recorded the song which was not considered a hit at the time. The song has gained popularity over the years. Barbra Streisand performed it as part of a medley with “The Way We Were” during her “Back To Brooklyn” tour and also at the Academy Awards as a tribute to her dear friend Marvin Hamlisch was had recently passed away. I first heard Linda Eder sing this song on the tack-er-ama 80s show “Star Search”. I was blown away by her talent. She made it to the finals but didn’t win!!
