Cyclospora parasite sickens dozens across Maryland and Virginia, doctor says

Health officials are tracking cases of cyclosporiasis, a parasite-linked illness that has sickened dozens of people across Maryland and Virginia, as outbreaks in other states grow much larger. The illness, caused by the Cyclospora parasite, has been linked to produce. In Ohio, more than 1,000 people have been sickened, a significantly larger outbreak than what has been reported in the Washington region.
