Privet Bonsai Carving Video, Using Ordinary Material for Bonsai
Video showing Harry Harrington of Bonsai4me.com carving a Ligustrum / Privet bonsai, collected 2 years previously from a hedgerow, by apprentice Sean Stolp. The 45cm/18" tall tree was very ordinary material for bonsai, having a single live trunk and an area of deadwood stumps at its base. In this video, the area is carved to improve the appearance of the deadwood, to turn it into a feature of the tree as well as hiding the stumps. The carving tools used in this video, including Bonsai Nibblers, are available from the http://Bonsai4me.com/shop
