Hand control module to allow the main unit to be installed out of reach Whilst our systems are still: Weather responsive, more sun / more water, less sun / less water Repairable, we believe in fixing, not binning Patent protected, still unique! The New Q Series uses a new type of SPVQ pump to deliver more water for less power, and at a much reduced volume. Pumps do make noise and the L Series, though quiet, was still an annoyance to some. This new pump is barely audible, you will be surprised at how quiet it is. The unit can handle 36 x 20 litre pots, such as tomato plants or 72 x 10 litre pots, for example peppers. What's more, for the avid tomato grower you can add an additional pump to the unit to add intermittent feed into the watering network. If you need more watering capacity the pump upgrade kit can be used to add an additional pump for an additional watering network, increasing the capacity from 36 to 72. Note, when you add an additional pump as a watering network, each pump will run for half as long as one pump on its own making it ideal for 72 smaller plants, or for use in nurseries. We have changed the way the system mounts, so that now it can be mounted from the rear or from the front. This means you can use the included mounting system to rear mount it against a wall, shed, post etc as you are used to; or you can stick the mount directly to your greenhouse glass using the clear adhesive strip supplied, and front mount the product for an unimpeded line of sight to the sun. The solar panel can be adjusted to extend up for front mounting, or down for rear mounting; see instructions for details. The Q Series now comes with 9 watering levels, and these can be used in the daytime as usual or for a single night time watering session. The pump will run every 3 hours, and the water delivered will be based on the level selected: 1 being the lowest and 9 being the highest; as well as how intense the sun is during that 3 hour window. The new improved three-element dripper design provides 1ltr per hour delivery, and has a longer exit spout for better connection to seep hose extension kits. It also includes a 4mm stopper into the design, to quickly block off any dripper as required, and it features a flow arrow indicator so you know which way the water is supposed to be flowing. This should help with drippers being installed accidentally the wrong way. The water level sensor now features 3 probes, giving an audible alert and error code when the water source is running low to allow you to manually top up if required. The unit will not attempt to run when the water source is empty. We also stock a 3m Water Level Sensor Extension Lead, should your unit need to be installed further away from the water source/ The hand control module features an LCD Display as well as two LED indicators (red and green) to better address error code diagnosis.
