ESS Eye Pro CROSSBOW: Torture Test

Wow this was fun to do. I've been looking for a long time for ballistic glasses that didn't distort, didn't fog, fit well and could easily integrate into my current gear. After trying on all the brands in the surplus stores, cabelas, ect, we settled on ESS, and asked them if we could see for ourselves what abuse they could handle. We shot at it with a 22, shotgun, and then decided to blow them up. These were tests not designed to mimic federal or military impact standards, nor are they held in a controlled environment (obviously). These test were designed to mimic SHTF. Although the frames may not have held up perfectly to some tests (part of which can be contributed to the fact we did not have a crash dummy head so frames were allowed to warp significantly more during impact) the lenses have survived and eyes remain intact. Amazing price tag, considering quality, features, durability ect.
