🎣 Can I finally catch a walleye at Crawling Valley?

In this episode of Angling Spiders, I launch the Water Strider at Crawling Valley Reservoir in Alberta and set out targeting walleye using bottom bouncers, worm harnesses, and live nightcrawlers. After spending over an hour trolling classic walleye structure—including points, islands, and underwater humps—I quickly discover that the walleye simply aren't cooperating. What I do find, however, is an aggressive bite from northern pike! After abandoning the trolling program, I move into a shallow bay and switch to a Len Thompson Green & Glow spoon. The result? Non-stop pike action, including multiple fish caught in consecutive casts and a double-digit fish day! Sometimes the fish don't cooperate with the plan, but adapting to changing conditions is what fishing is all about. This trip is a perfect example of turning a slow walleye bite into an exciting day chasing northern pike. 📍 Location: Crawling Valley Reservoir, Alberta, Canada If you enjoy Alberta fishing, walleye fishing, pike fishing, kayak fishing adventures, and learning new fishing techniques, make sure to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and hit the notification bell so you never miss an episode!
