It has been passed down orally for centuries, changing across different regions. • Plot: In the song, the main character tells how he drinks, parties, and squanders his household or property every single day of the week. • Meaning of the catchphrase: The chorus signifies complete independence of action, absolute freedom from obligations, and sometimes an extreme degree of loneliness where a person has to deal with all tasks and life's problems completely on their own. • Popularity: In modern times, this expression has become a popular idiom.
