I'm posting a new video daily for #worldwatercolormonth Today we're going behind the scenes to tackle the problem of framing finished watercolor paintings. Because watercolor is painted on paper, it needs protection, and this is why most watercolor paintings are framed under glass, with a mat and backing board. I also enjoy a more contemporary look and method of mounting watercolor paper on a wood panel, sealing with a wax & resin compound. This makes it easier to hang the painting alongside paintings on canvas or panel and removes the glare of glass.
