You will see all of the details for this hike in this video. Located on Highway 24 near Goblin Valley State Park, this hike, Wild Horse Window in the San Rafael Swell has natural scenery as good as the National Parks. Wild Horse Window, also known as The Eye of Sinbad is a natural hole in the sandstone. The San Rafael Swell is filled with rock formations like this window & arches in the sandstone that are iconic to Central Utah & the National Parks. The window is located in an alcove deep in the sandstone that is accessible by climbing on the rock & through a canyon. Watch while Cherry, your host takes you to Wild Horse Window. First, Cherry starts the hike by showing the main trail that leads to Wild Horse Window. She takes a turn & climbs up the slick rock to show views of the area. You will see scenes of rock formations & the Henry Mountains. After hiking on the rock above Wild Horse Window, Cherry takes you into the canyon & finally to the two large alcoves, which in one, Wild Horse Window is located. A montage of scenes of the alcoves & the window are shown. There is rock art in an alcove that looks like the famous Barrier Canyon style rock art that is located in Horseshoe Canyon, Canyonlands National Park. There is much speculation that the rock art in the Wild Horse Window alcove is fake. After viewing scenes in the Wild Horse Window alcoves, Cherry begins her hike back through the canyon & onto the slick rock. The video ends with Cherry finishing her hike. This video gives viewers a detailed hiking tour of Wild Horse Window. It is easy for hikers who do not know the area well to get lost or lose navigation while looking for the alcoves & the window.
