Gresford - The Miners'' Hymn

On 22nd September 1934 at Gresford Colliery, in North Wales, an explosion sadly killed 266 men and boys. To commemorate this, Robert Saint - a miner - wrote the hymn tune. This tune is always played at the annual Miners Picnic around the area, especially at the Durham Miners Gala. This is the first time our band has played this piece and we would like to pay our respects to the fallen miners.
