I Do These Four Steps Every Time I Run Sound | Build a Plan for Success
These are the key steps I take every time I run sound. It might look a little different from week to week or venue to venue, but on some level I am doing these steps to set myself up for success. It is important to build processes and a plan before you go into your venue or get called into another space. Understanding your plan can help you quickly get acclimated with the PA, venue and equipment so you can focus on making a great mix the rest of the time you are there. One really big outcome of having a plan is that you have the ability to shape not only the mix, but the interaction between you and the band. You can make them feel really comfortable when you have a plan and confidently communicate it to the team.
