Measuring 3-Wire Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) with a Wheatstone Bridge
In this video we look at the benefits of using a Wheatstone Bridge circuit to measure 3-wire Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs). We show how it can be used to cancel certain types of measurement error and compensate for cable resistance. We provide a demo of a 3-wire RTD sensor and Wheatstone Bridge circuit making high accuracy temperature measurements and achieving precision down to 1/100 of a degree.
