Why are wine grapes sometimes picked at night? What is the objective of a night harvest? Wine producers in warm regions harvest wine grapes at night to preserve aromas and prevent the grapes from spontaneous fermentation in the vineyard and during transportation. Come along with us as we participate in the night harvest of a Croatian wine grape, called Pošip. This takes place at the wine producer Rizman's vineyard in the Komarna wine region in Dalmatia, Croatia. The vineyard is situated along the Dalmatian Coast, right next to the Adriatic Sea. The harvesting of grapes is manually done, by hand.
