Panzer im Hasberger Silbersee vollständig freigelegt
In July 2019, Michael and Jan Sünkler began excavating the "tank" in Silbersee lake in Hasbergen. At that time, only one side of the tracked vehicle was visible; the rest was buried under rocks and earth. About six months later, they finally succeeded. The tracked vehicle, a British "Universal Carrier" from World War II, was exposed. They only worked on it for a few hours each weekend, Jan Sünkler explains. "After four to five hours, the battery simply runs out." Furthermore, they both worked at the time. It took them about 75 hours together to excavate the vehicle. "You have to be crazy to want to do something like that," Michael Sünkler describes the project. Editor: Stella Blümke Video: Tobias Saalschmidt
