800Hp Hyundai i20 AP4++ || INSANE Onboard w/ Hayden Paddon

Former WRC Hyundai works driver Hayden Paddon has ventured into the Hillclimb Racing World during the last couple years with this monstruous i20 AP4++. With 800Hp from a 2.1L Turno engine and a Pikes Peak-worth Aerodynamic package, it is one of the most frightening machines we´ve ever featured on the Channel. Such was possible to see on the Ben Nevis 1200 Hillclimb at the beginning of the year where Hayden won the event overall, displaying the kind of speed that only the select few who can reach the World Rally Championship can offer. This i20 AP4 is built from a production-based Hyundai i20 road car and this one can be converted between Rally and Hillclimb specification depending on the event. In rally-specification the car utilises an 1800cc restricted engine paired with a Sadev 4WD sequential gearbox and long-travel EXT suspension. A MoTeC Engine Management unit controls the vehicle and driver displays in both specifications. For Hillclimb-spec the car uses the rally-spec chassis with a few upgrades in order to withstand the almost 500Hp more it produces in Hillclimb-trim. Aerodynamics too are improved by employing a much larger, wider, higher and more complex rear wing alongside a diffuser fitted to the rear of the vehicle while up front the team has developed a front splitter which incorporates larger dive planes.
