MTA NYC SPECIAL: R32 K Knicks Train Action & Ride [Summer 2026]

Unexpectedly, on the next day after the weekend of the Parade of Trains, the New York Transit Museum hosted a Special fantrip with a Consist of R32 Subway Cars. This fantrip was used to celebrate the Knicks going to the NBA finals, the whole 8-Car R32 Consist was signed as a K train. The K train was formerly known as the AA line, after the MTA stopped using Double Letter Bullets for their lines. The K line ran local between 168th St & WTC, but was defuncted in the late 1980s as it merged with the C line. This year, in 2026... the K line came back, running as the Knicks special, running Local to 59 St-Columbus Circle, and Express to 168 St. #mta #mtasubway #nyknicks
