Autotow launching is an option desired by many pilots of the Antares 18T and 23T. It increases the autonomy of of these self-sustainer equipped aircraft. The first comprehensive autotow-tests with the Antares 18T have shown that this launch-mode can form a sensible addition to winch-launching and aerotows.
