Cooking Ghormeh Sabzi (Green herb stew) _ Village Lifestyle of Iran (2022)
In this video you will see how the village women cook Ghormeh Sabzi, which is maybe the most revered Persian dish there is. The interesting part is they cook this Persian food on an open fire outdoors. The word Ghormeh means small piece of meat in old Persian and Sabzi means herb or green herb. This Persian food is prepared using various ingredients and the recipe varies from area to area. But the main Persian recipe stays the same. There is always Sabzi, beans, and meat, whether it be chicken, duck, or red meat. The interesting part about this Persian food is that the longer it rests (even after getting cold), the more delicious it becomes. We are Doora and we document and film the daily lives of nomads, villagers, countryside residents in the rural areas of Iran, specially Lorestan.
