Beyond the Degree: Brad Katsuyama BBA '01

Brad Katsuyama is a Lazaridis School BBA alumnus from 2001 and the Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer at IEX Group. IEX Group is the operator of the Investors’ Exchange, which is one of the top 10 stock exchanges in the world. Brad and his company are often associated with the Michael Lewis book “Flash Boys” which examined the world of high-frequency trading and its impact on the health of the electronic equities marketplace which Brad and his team uncovered while he was the head risk trader and head of electronic trading at RBC Capital Markets.
