Moon's family converted to Christianity when Moon was 10 years old. Moon claims that Jesus appeared to him when he was 16 years old. According to his claim, his work was left unfinished with the crucifixion of Jesus, and Moon was assigned to finish this job. Sun Myung Moon founded his church in Seoul in 1954, exactly one year after the end of the Korean War, and declared himself the Messiah. The church moved to Tarrytown, New York, in 1971. Moon writes a book called The Divine Principle in 1952. This book is considered a holy book among moon people. So what is the purpose of this Moon Sect? How many people believe?
