About Dr. Muhammad Amir Gazdar: Dr. Muhammad Amir Gazdar, born on 26th May 1974 in Karachi, is a distinguished Islamic scholar, Qur’an memorizer, and researcher. He memorized the Qur’an in 1987 and obtained his early religious education from Jami’ah Dar al-Hanafiyyah and Jami’ah al-Uloom al-Islamiyyah, Binnori Town, receiving his Shahadah Aalamiyyah in 1996, later recognized as a Master's in Islamic Studies by the University of Karachi. In 1992, he was introduced to the Farahi school of thought under the guidance of Ustaz Javed Ahmad Ghamidi, which significantly shaped his scholarly journey. He joined Al-Mawrid Foundation in 2002 and served as a researcher, teacher, and lecturer for over 16 years. He holds three Master’s degrees in Islamic Studies, including one from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), where he also completed his Ph.D. with distinction in 2019. His doctoral research focused on Hijab and Gender Interaction in the light of Qur’an and Hadith. Dr. Gazdar has authored several research articles and books published in Arabic and Urdu across Pakistan, Malaysia, India, and Lebanon. Since 2016, he has been playing a key role in the Hadith project led by Ustaz Ghamidi. He has led Tarawih and Qiyam-ul-Lail prayers since 1989, both in Pakistan and Malaysia, including at the IIUM mosque.
