128DN Mehr Express Travel | Rawalpindi to Domel | Magical Evening & Sunset

Hello everyone, Welcome back to another Pak Railography train journey. This time, I am traveling on one of the most unique routes in Pakistan Railways. My journey is from Rawalpindi to Domel on 128DN Mehr Express, a train that connects Rawalpindi with Multan through an interesting combination of Main Line 1, two branch lines, and Main Line 2. The main purpose of this trip is to experience the beautiful Golra Sharif Junction to Basal Junction branch line, one of the most peaceful and less explored railway routes in Pakistan. This branch line links Main Line 1 with Main Line 2 through Tarnol and Fateh Jang, offering a completely different railway experience. As always, the day began by exploring Rawalpindi Railway Station, checking out the locomotive on the lead, meeting fellow passengers, and enjoying the lively station atmosphere. Soon after departure, the train reached Golra Sharif Junction and left the busy Main Line 1 behind, entering the quiet branch line. Our first stop was Tarnol, where many passengers joined the train. The scenery soon changed into green suburbs, open countryside, and newly developed areas around Islamabad. As we continued towards Fateh Jang, the fresh weather and scattered clouds made the landscape even more beautiful. The section between Fateh Jang and Basal Junction was the highlight of the journey. Rolling fields, peaceful villages, and untouched countryside created a calm and relaxing atmosphere. At Basal Junction, the branch line joined Main Line 2, and shortly afterward I reached Domel Railway Station, a small but charming station in Jand Tehsil of District Attock. I had about an hour before my return train arrived, giving me enough time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. I started with a cup of hot tea and a light snack before taking a walk around the station and nearby fields. As the evening approached, nature rewarded me with a breathtaking sunset that made the entire journey unforgettable. Soon 129UP Thal Express arrived, bringing a perfect end to a day filled with beautiful scenery, peaceful railway moments, and the timeless charm of Pakistan's branch lines.
