PORSCHE 914 TYPE 4 ENGINE HOW TO ADJUST VALVES

We all need adjustment now and then. So do the valves on a Porsche 914-4 / VW Type IV! If your engine sounds like shaking a coffee can full of bolts and /or is losing power, you're probably overdue. Here's how I do it. It's not the only way, but it's simple and foolproof if you follow all steps. As a fool, I should know. BTW, since I assume this video is for newbies, I decided to keep things simple and adjust the valves in firing sequence order. If you're feeling randy, after you're done with #1, you can rotate the engine backwards 180 degrees do #2 while you're still on the left side of the engine. Here's also a link to Krusty's (rocking) method, which saves a few engine revolutions, but requires more attention.
