Frappes israéliennes au Liban : Ali Cherri porte plainte pour crime de guerre

Artist Ali Cherri, whose parents were killed in an Israeli airstrike ten hours before the ceasefire of November 26, 2024, has filed a complaint in Paris for war crimes against persons unknown. This is the first such complaint since October 8, 2023. On November 26, 2024, ten hours before the ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel, the Beirut apartment of Ali Cherri, a French-Lebanese artist, was bombed by the Israeli Air Force. There was no prior warning. Seven civilians were killed, including his 77-year-old mother, Nadira Hayek, his 87-year-old father, Mahmoud Cherri, and their home care worker, Birki Negesa. Following an investigation by Amnesty International and Forensic Architecture, Ali Cherri filed a complaint with the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) in Paris for war crimes against persons unknown.
