Help us preserve the Puerto Rican Paso Fino horse breed
The Puerto Rican Paso Fino is a saddle horses breed known by this name since 1860. Its particular gait, which gives the breed its name, was developed to be extremely comfortable for the rider and is characterized by being a 4 beat lateral gait where each leg strike the ground independently with quick and equally spaced movements. The typical sound of the Paso Fino is ta-ca-ta-ca-ta-ca. This gait is natural to the breed and the foals exhibit it since the moment they are born. The Puerto Rican Paso Fino is recognized by The Livestock Conservancy as an endangered breed. Help us preserve it. #PasoFinoPuertorriqueño #PurePuertoRicanPasoFino #HeritageBreedsWeek #GratitudeWeek #TheLivestockConservancy
