SWR full journey London Waterloo to Exeter St Davids 29/04/2024

My first journey onboard a SWR 158/159 was onboard 159011 as the 1L29 1120 from WAT to EXD, coupled with 159106 as far as SAL. Calling at CLJ, WOK, BSK, ADV and SAL, where the train divided. 159011 was calling at TIS, GIL, TMC, SHE, YVJ, CKN, AXM, HON, FNT, CBK, PIN, EXC and EXD while 159106 did the 1V29 1250 SAL to YVJ calling at WMN, WSB, FRO, BRU, CLC, YVP and YVJ. Oyster and contactless can only be used between WAT and CLJ. This is also the longest SWR route. For those unaware, Elinor Hamilton (who was married to Phil Sayer) replaced Celia Drummond on the 158s and 159s in July 2023 then the 484s (Island line) in October 2023 and recently the 444s, 450s and 455s in February 2024. Elinor has not yet been introduced to the 458s, 701s or 707s. Elinor will eventually be introduced to the 701s but not the 458/5s or 707s which are due to be phased out by the 701s in the near future. Phil used to be on the 444s and 450s before Celia replaced Phil in 2008. Acapela Rachel (TTS) does main announcements on 707s and "standard only" and "ASDO is isolated" on the 444s and 450s. Celia only does BTP 61016 message on 707s. Celia was also on the 442s and 456s before they were withdrawn and scrapped. It is still unknown whether Celia will be kept on the 458/4 fleet or replaced with Elinor as SWR have no plans for SWR to use the 458/4s. 0:00 - London Waterloo (START) - Change for London Underground Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern and Waterloo & City lines.
