艦これオタク達、廃棄寸前の「戦艦大和の主砲旋盤」を伝説に変えてしまうww

This time, we've compiled a story about how KanColle nerds rescued the Yamato's large lathe. The world's only giant lathe, the "15299," was used to machine the battleship Yamato's main guns. It wasn't the government or a large corporation that stepped up to save this hunk of iron that was on the verge of being scrapped, but rather the "admirals (nerds)" on the other side of the screen. Let's take a look at this lathe that miraculously survived 70 years and the nameless enthusiasts who protected it, together with Zundamon. ■What's so amazing about the 15299 (large lathe)? It's huge: 40 meters long and weighs 219 tons. It's an ultra-heavy machine, heavier than a jumbo jet. What did it do?: It was imported from Germany to machine the outer barrels of the battleship Yamato's iconic 46cm main guns, and engineers at the time machined it with precision down to 0.01 millimeters. A German-born super-elite: It arrived across the ocean from Dortmund, Germany, in 1938. Its original purchase price was approximately 450,000 yen. Today, it's a high-end machine tool worth hundreds of millions of yen. Guardian of Japanese shipbuilding: After machining the Yamato's main guns, it continued to machine engine parts (crankshafts) for large tankers and other ships during the postwar reconstruction period. From battleships to merchant ships. For 75 years, it was a hard worker who supported Japan's maritime affairs behind the scenes. Treatised like a god: In the factory it once owned, it was treated as a sacred machine due to its high precision and value. Upon its retirement, a Shinto priest was called in to perform a ritual, and legend has it that "only skilled workers were allowed to touch it." ■ Viewing Notes/Disclaimer This video is entertainment (fiction) based on real events and records.
