Higurashi: When They Cry - A Hidden Horror Manga Masterpiece

Without any exaggeration, Higurashi: When They Cry (or No Naku Koro Ni) is likely the best horror manga of all time as well as being...likely my personal favorite manga too. And yet far too few folks have read it, instead opting for the (also excellent, but fairly different) anime. I simply cannot recommend this one enough. Originally, I wanted to leave this masterpiece of horror until 10k, as I've promised we'll do a proper deep dive on it then but for now - as my previously planned video (I Am A Hero) ended up as an unsalvageable mess, we're doing this one. Just a quick overview of this god tier piece of horror literature, so good that it tends to subtly change people who read it. I'm not kidding. And yes, I'll stop gushing now.
