We took what is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful crossings in Alto Piemonte, the classic Devero-Veglia crossing. The route begins at Alpe Devero, passes through the stunning Buscagna Valley, and crosses the Scatta d'Orogna and Valtendra passes, before descending steeply to Alpe Veglia. Before descending, we spent the night at the new Farello bivouac, near Lago del Bianco, about 30 minutes from Alpe Veglia. Breathtaking scenic beauty and an unforgettable day.
