"What’s going on in the world?" Global South & global crises: collective response or multialignment?

From Pakistan becoming the hosting country for negotiations between the US and Iran to South Africa bringing Israel before the International Court of Justice, the Global South has increasingly become an actor with significant political capital to influence international affairs. In a developing multipolar order, will the Global South have more responsibility and weight in tackling global crisis? In this new session of the "What’s going on in the world?" series of conferences, we will explore this with Lynda Chinenye Iroulo, Assistant Professor of International Relations at Georgetown University in Qatar and Shada Islam, Managing Director at New Horizons Project.
