Montu Arts - African Diaspora Footwork
Knocking & Kicking is an indigenous African-American Montu/Martial art, developed by enslaved Africans in America in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. Many of its elements can still be found in Africa as well as modern African expressions in the diaspora. ----- This video focuses on the footwork found in African arts across the diaspora, which act as the basis of footwork in my expression of Knocking & Kicking. ----- AFRICAN WRESTLING • Sankofa Journey #4 - American Learns Afric... • Sankofa Journey #4.1 - Striking, and The L... • Wrestling on the Beach in Africa MADAGASCAR KICKBOXING • HAMA - Moraingy Kickboxing Combo #1 • HAMA - Moraingy Kickboxing Basics (Attacks) • HAMA - Morengy Kickboxing Basics (Defenses) #Africa #MartialArts #KnockingAndKicking
