From MTV VJ in Indonesia at 17 to her first album at 20 and movies a few years later, Shanty looked like the ultimate overnight success. But once the rollercoaster reached the top, life changed just as fast. How can you take control of your identity when you first need to find out who you are? Shanty is an Indonesian pop star, actor, entrepreneur, VJ and mother. She moves to the beat of her own drum. A talented performer, she is undeterred by the rigmarole of life with all its ups and downs, pain and glory, tears and joy. Shanty has five albums, 10 feature films and three singles to her name and absolutely digs the outdoors, be it wakesurfing, canyoning or coasteering. Shanty believes in creating her own path and is absolutely unapologetic about being herself.
