SPECTACULAR 1990 SUZUKI RM125 SLINGSHOT

1990 Suzuki RM125 “Slingshot” – Concours Frame-Off Restoration | Championship-Winning Icon Guys, feast your eyes on one of the finest steel-frame RM125s ever built—and without question one of the most dominant 125cc motocross machines of its era. The 1990 Suzuki RM125 Slingshot didn’t just compete; it owned the class. Suzuki absolutely cleaned up in 1990, and this very production model was the foundation for those factory race bikes. Suzuki captured the 125cc Outdoor National Championship with Guy Cooper, and an unheard-of five Suzuki riders finished in the Top 10—including Buddy Antunez, Mike LaRocco, Jeremy Buell, and Danny Stevenson. Indoors, Suzuki was just as lethal: Danny Stevenson won the 1990 125 East Coast Supercross Championship, while Buddy Antunez finished 3rd in the ultra-competitive West Coast series. Outdoors, indoors, and internationally—Suzuki dominated, and the factory race bikes were based squarely on this production RM125. Magazine tests at the time said it felt like a factory outdoor national bike right out of the crate, praising its laser-sharp turning, balanced handling, and how easy it was to turn fast lap times. Simply put: this bike rips. A Museum-Quality, No-Corners-Cut Restoration This particular RM125 started as an extremely low-hour, original survivor—the perfect canvas for a true concours restoration.
