Not at all, but sometimes you just gotta get it done. From Carrizozo it was into the Guadalupe Mountains, gravel graded roads and all, and onto Weed. Around Weed was some of the best riding I had seen in Southern NM, but as with most of NM the fires and fire danger was extreme. Out onto the Guadalupe Rim you have views for days, and washboard road that never seems to end. It was a long day, but what a way to finish the NMBDR and restart my sense of adventure!
