Ford Escort XR3i Cabriolet. This classic 80s icon comes in the popular Diamond White paintwork with added RS Turbo extras. Tim shows us around the car and what made this car so iconic before taking the car on the road for an extended test drive. Bring back those memories from one of the best decades for cars, music and movies. The car on test is a 1987 model build in Germany. Added to the car is the RS Turbo body kit, wheels and full Recaro interior. This will be the third Ford Escort reviewed on the Tim Bush Channel with previous episodes reviewing the mark 1 RS and the legendary mark 2 RS 2000. If you have ever owned one of these cars before you will know why Ford sold so many. Reasonably inexpensive to buy when new, a bit of performance and great looks. The mark 4 obviously replaced the mark 3 but was really just a face lift, as Fords thinking was "if its not broken don't fix it". But with the mark 3 Ford decided to go with front engine and front wheel drive. Many believe this was the beginning of the end for the Escort with one more hurrah before its final demise....The Escort Cosworth...
