China Travel--Thousand-year Old Temple | Yuantong Temple

🌈 Today I’m at Yuantong Temple in Kunming, Yunnan, China. It is an ancient Buddhist temple, which is more than1000 years old but is very well maintained and clean. 🌈 This old temple is noted for its unusual structure which is high at the front and low at the back, From the front archway named "Yuantong Shengjing" (Wonderland), one can behold the entire garden. 🌈 This lovely temple is a surprise. Step off the main road and into cloistered and carefully manicured world of devotion. The gentle arch of the roofs of temple buildings, the lovely lake and the sense of calm pervades everything.
