Sosnowiec. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie. Silesia. Poland. In March 1931, the so-called Katowice Tunnel was opened in Sosnowiec. After 94 years, the viaduct over Piłsudskiego Street is becoming history. The 94th anniversary of the opening of the so-called "Katowice Tunnel," a complex of two railway viaducts over Marshal Józef Piłsudskiego Street in Sosnowiec, falls on March 2, 2025. The structure originally had an openwork structure. After reconstruction in 2004-2006, the underpass was widened by cutting out some of the spans.
