Deltarune Chapter 4 | Part 1 | No Commentary

...Oh hey light world where were you? We didn't see you at all in Chapter 3 (except the ending, but shush) Welcome to Deltarune December, where I play Deltarune on December for no reason. For none at all. This video contains the start of Chapter 4 to after the Jackenstein fight. I also do the secret fight in Castle Town. Game: Deltarune Chapter 4 Find the game here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/16... Original creator: Toby Fox Release Date: 2025 Engine: Gamemaker I do NOT own anything on this video, all credit to their respective creators. If the creator wants me to take this down, please tell me. PLEASE NOTE: I have edited my save file so that the defense values for the characters are 200 each. This is for purposes on showing the "Shadow Crystal" bosses for the chapters, but due to me refusing to edit videos and suffering from severe skill issues, I edited them. It would feel weird to make a playthrough without them. I apologize if it bothers anyone. I would rather do this than to have 1 hour of the video dedicated to the boss or touch an editing program. Sorry. ...So. Chapter 4. A widely loved chapter and also one I... would say I didn't like as much as everyone else. That was primarily due to me playing the chapter right after 3 and also very late at night when I was tired, so I didn't do all the cool secret stuff or focus on the story that much. This playthrough is here to remedy that, letting me play the chapter while I am not rushing to go to bed at 5am in the morning. So... what do I think about at least the first half of Chapter 4? It's good! I like the light world stuff, especially after Chapter 3 had no such stuff. There is a lot of dialogue I didn't do because... this chapter is long, but it is fun. The Holiday House is a fun segment that shows fun character interactions and also thickens the plot. I decided to watch the Susie and Noelle stuff as fully as I could, and that is fun too. I can't believe Toby Fox invented gay people. (Part 4) I am not cruel enough to do the Weird Route, but if I ever get access to my own vessel... Kris better watch their back. I will just say I have hopes on how Susie reacts if she discovers what Kris is hiding.... Anyway, enough about my wishes for the future chapters. (For the record, I do not hate Kris Deltarune, but they are the type of character that if I had a plushie of them, I would throw them against the wall. It's a very specific type of character. Don't worry if you don't get it.) (But I will be cheering at the screen if Susie leaves the party for a while if/when she discovers Kris is a part of the evil ass fountain openers group chat (due to probably how betrayed she feels)) The dark world stuff is also neat. I like the piano puzzles and well... The old man is my GOAT. The church aesthetic is cool, and the music is very good. The Jackenstein is very fun and definitely a call for help, as some have stated. It is a very funny fight, especially the first time with a pretty good song alongside it. But the fight also reminds me that this is a video game being sold for real money. Thank you, Toby. 10/10 video game. (Also insane to think Toby teased this fight on Bluesky randomly with the song sped-up with the little pumpkin fellas. Tony's trick...................) While we didn't see much of it, I do find the climbing mechanic a fun addition. I like the Mike fight, it's fun even if I don't have a functional microphone to do it properly, but it is fun even with just buttons. I also like the twist and find it incredibly funny how attached some fans have gotten to the trio. Some of the fan art I've seen... Like yeah okay have your brainworms I would be a hypocrite if I complained about them lol. ...Not much else I have to say here. Visuals and music are good, writing is good. Dunno if I like it as much as Chapter 3, but I am also very biased towards Chapter 3. I did have fun here, though. It's hard to say much since not much... dark world plot happens in this video, but I hopefully go more in-depth once I have the second part recorded. Fun times. Also, thank the heavens for including the rhythm game as a playable thing. Have played it more than I'd like to admit, even if I sucked at it in this video. I blame the fact that I recorded it. Anyway, good night. (I'm pretty happy with the thumbnail for this one. Since the scene was dark, I had to manually recolor the area and add the undarkened sprites to the image, but I think I did it well enough.)
