Review dan Sejarah Daihatsu S38P / Daihatsu Hijet S38 Unyil / Tuyul | Mending Bemo daripada Ini?
Some time ago, we discussed the Mitsubishi Colt T120, the best-selling car of the 1970s. It was so popular that it became a benchmark: if you wanted a proper car, you had to buy a Colt. However, not everyone in Indonesia could afford a Colt. But what if you needed a car to avoid the heat and rain while traveling, but couldn't afford a Colt? There was a solution: you could buy a used Colt. But what if you insisted on buying a new car? There was another solution: you could buy a cheaper car. However, it wouldn't be as proper as the Colt, and it would also be smaller. One available alternative was the Daihatsu S38, often referred to as the S38P, or the Daihatsu Hijet S38. Which is the correct name? Actually, they're all correct; we'll explain later. Please watch this video until the end. First, we'll discuss the most striking feature of the Daihatsu S38: its dimensions. Indeed, the most striking thing about this creature is its small size, both in terms of dimensions and engine. We also explain the kei car regulations, which caused the Daihatsu S38 to be so small in various aspects. We also discuss the history of the Daihatsu Hijet family, the ancestor of the Daihatsu S38P, from the first generation (L35 and L36), the second generation (S35 and S36), and the third generation (S37), and the story of their arrival in Indonesia. We then discuss the history of the Daihatsu S38, the fourth generation of the Daihatsu Hijet family, in 1971, and its presence in Indonesia from 1973 to 1979, along with the changes that occurred in 1974. We also discuss the various variants available for the Daihatsu S38, both in Japan and Indonesia, including various types of pickups, minibuses (vans), and public transportation (angkot, mikrolet, or sadako). We also discuss the story of the Daihatsu S38P as a pioneer of small public transportation. We do not intend to offend or endorse anyone or anything seen in this video.
