100 Year Lecture Series: L.A.’s transportation and infrastructure is broken. We can fix it.
A lifelong Angeleno and car enthusiast, Michael Schneider gave up his car a decade ago and started using a bicycle to get around the car capital of the country. This radical change opened his eyes to the impacts that car dominated cities have on our happiness, our freedom, and our kids. A tech entrepreneur turned political activist, Michael has raised millions to get the right people elected in Los Angeles and California, and in 2024 led the campaign to pass a ballot measure that will forever change LA. This event is part of the Perloff Lecture Series on 100 Years of Transportation Research, presented by UCLA ITS and UCLA Urban Planning Department. Funding is provided by the Harvey S. Perloff Endowment.
