About Start Fox for the Nintendo Switch 2 You play as Fox McCloud, the leader of the Star Fox mercenary team, as they embark on a high-octane mission to stop the evil mad scientist Dr. Andross from destroying the Lylat System. While the core narrative remains faithful to the original N64 game, this 2026 version expands on the story with brand-new, fully voiced cinematics. These cutscenes delve deeper into the game's characters and lore, such as the "Venom Incident" where Fox's father, James McCloud, sacrificed himself to save Peppy Hare.
