At Superstition Mountain, He Faced His Wife's Killer — Where Vengeance Was Worth More Than Gold. When the drifter crosses paths with a surveyor sent to scout for gold in the Superstition Mountains, old wounds tear wide open. The surveyor turns out to be the very man who led the raid that claimed the frontiersman's wife, and he falls upon him with savage fury. Not long after, the boy's grandfather rides in from back East. Hearing only half the story from a certain witness about how his son met his end, he jumps to the wrong conclusion—that the widow and the gunslinger plotted the killing together. Convinced of their guilt, he sets his mind on taking the boy away and hauling him back East. Trouble is, to make that happen, he's thrown in with a hard-hearted outfit that doesn't mind playing rough, and before long the whole affair is headed for a showdown.
