Premier Parrots - What To Feed Your Macaw

This video demonstrates how to prepare the daily fruit feed for two macaws (half the portions if feeding one macaw). The main points to take from the video are: 1. Variety is the most important aspect of a macaws diet. 2. Fresh fruit at least 3-4 times a week is a must for a complete and balanced diet. 3. Providing fruit need not be expensive, as long as you prepare the food in a way to help the macaw minimise wastage. We give fresh fruits and nuts on alternate days. For nuts, the quantities we give are: 1 full cup of roasted unsalted peanuts, 1 half cup of chopped almonds and 1 half cup of broken cashew nuts.
