Ye Olde Fighting Cocks in Arnside is a historic 1660 pub on the Kent Estuary. Formerly known as The Crown Hotel, it retains a hidden cock-fighting pit under the floorboards. Situated just 365 meters from Arnside Train Station, the pub is famous for its nautical theme.Originally functioning as a coaching inn and local shelter on the site of the Old Customs House, the building predates much of Arnside's current promenade, which was developed alongside the railway in 1860.
