DAY TRIPPER BLANKET CAL: WEEK 5 - STAR SPOT

We’ve made it to our final square! And it’s time to go big with a bang! Our final motif is super sized and the shining star of the blanket. This motif is the equivalent of 4 of your other squares. The Star Spot is worked in 2 stages. In Step 1 you create the central motif which includes creating a large circle and squaring it off. Then in the second step you rotate your square by working 4 new corners, attaching as you go. This eye-catching design combines all the stitches you have learnt so far and is the final motif of our blanket. You will want to make 4 Motifs in each colourway, 8 squares in total Your finished blanket will be perfect for those sunny picnics ahead, capturing the joy of summer in its sunny shades of Hayfield Bonus DK.
