Q&A: UN Commission finds senior Israeli officials incited Gaza genocide, urges accountability

The commissioners had earlier presented their latest findings to the Third Committee (Social, Humanitarian & Cultural Issues) of the United Nations General Assembly at its 80th session. The commissioners were questioned on their assessment that genocide had been committed by Israel in Gaza. "It pains me that, on my last presentation as Chair of this Commission, the post-World War II multi-lateral system has failed to prevent this #genocide," Ms. Pillay told reporters.
