Red-tailed Hawks P1 and P2 Hang Out Together On The Ledge | June 22, 2026

Siblings P1 and P2 are hanging out on the ledge together during a rainy Monday at the Cornell Hawks nest. P2 has yet to take its first flight, but eldest sibling P1 has returned to the nest after fledging on June 18. Judging by the look of things, it won't be long before both young hawks are exploring Cornell's campus together! They have made use of two different light towers for their nest sites. In 2012, 2015, and 2018–2023 they used a tower near Fernow Hall, and in 2013, 2014, and 2016, they used the tower nearest Weill Hall.
