The hike begins at Glücksburg Castle, completed in 1587, and proceeds around the castle pond. Glücksburg is located in northern Germany, in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, on the Flensburg Fjord. It's a short hike of approximately 3 kilometers, so we'll take a detour to Glücksburg beach in the Sandwig district. This detour adds about 2 kilometers to the hike, after which we continue our walk around the castle pond.
