Let My People GO! (Alternative Version)

An alternative version of the original "Let My People Go!" On a hill where mercy bled… Crown of thorns upon His head… Heaven wept, the sky grew dim… As death believed it conquered Him… Nails through flesh, the silence cried, King of glory crucified, Mocked and broken, lifted high— The Lamb of God was left to die. “It is finished,” breath ran thin, Bearing all the weight of sin, Darkness fell across the land— Creation trembled at His hand. torn, the earth did shake, But death had made its last mistake… Three days bound beneath the grave— But death could not hold the One who saves, For even in the shadow’s breath— The King of Life would conquer death. Down He fell through depths unknown, Into realms of ash and stone, Chains of souls and endless night— Yet pierced by everlasting light. Demons shrieked and fled in fear, Fallen angels drew Him near, Blades of flame in shadows cast— But none could stand, none could last. With every step the darkness broke— Hell itself began to choke… The grave could not contain His Name, Nor hell withstand His holy flame… Three days bound beneath the grave— But death could not hold the One who saves, For even in the shadow’s breath— The King of Life would conquer death. Thanatos rose with silent hand, Yet fell before divine command, No peaceful end, no final breath— Could stand against the Lord of Death. Anubis weighed the souls in sacred rite, But scales collapsed before the Light, Osiris judged with ancient, hollow throne— But faced the Judge of all alone. Yama called forth law and fate’s decree, But bowed to true eternity, Ereshkigal from the abyss arose— Yet shattered where His glory flows. Hel claimed the sick, the weak, the slain— But lost her hold, broke every chain, Mictlantecuhtli ruled the deepest night— Now undone by holy light. At the gates where shadows reign, Sat the lord of death and pain, Hades rose from blackened throne— To face the King not overthrown. Beside him stood the ancient snake— The liar all the worlds would take, Satan crowned in stolen breath— The keeper of the keys of death. Flames collide, the abyss cries out, Hell itself is torn with doubt, No war prolonged, no balance kept— One command… and darkness wept. Chains were shattered, thrones undone, Before the Father’s risen Son, No rival force, no equal claim— All must bow before His Name. Keys of death now in His hand, All the grave at His command, Hell defeated, darkness slain— Jesus Christ forever reigns. Every power, every throne— Now confesses Him alone, For the grave has lost its breath— To the King who conquered death. Stone rolled back, the dawn broke through, Light returned, the world made new, From the tomb the Living One— Rose again, the battle won. “I was dead, but now I live— Life eternal I will give,” And all who hear His voice proclaim— Jesus Christ… the deathless Name.
