----------------------------------------------- About the piece ----------------------------------------------- Scherzino No.1 for solo piano Written in September 2021, this scherzino is a short, light-hearted piece. The first theme is based on a French children's play-song, while the middle section juxtaposes oriental rhythm and bitonality. He started playing the piano in 2012 and composing in 2018. Tony holds a B. An in musicology from NDU (2022) and a baccalaureate in piano from the CNSM (2021), and am pursuing my studies at USEK for an M.A in musicology, as well as composition at the CNSM (since 2020). My compositional voice, while fairly unique, is continuing to grow with me and my studies.
